And part of the reason I might hate Bush so much is that I watch The Daily Show. Hell, they had a clip of him riding a "standing mower". He also assured the American public that he could fix the economic crisis, and in the next 30 minutes after he made the announcement, the DOW dropped about 100 points (that's a lot.) You'd think his advisors would have learned...

However, I am a liberal, as it happens, but I am thoroughly against the raising of minimum wage. Perpetuating our ever-inflating economy is not my piece of cake. However, I do believe in generating a greater amount of socialized and subsidized institutions. Now, don't read this and start off on the whole "tax inflation" and all that jazz.
Though it's entirely unrealistic, and will never happen, I believe that, if America wasn't idiotic (on that note, anyone seen Idiocracy?), we could establish a strict regulatory bureaucracy on the expenditures of our taxes. If we didn't spend it on the stupid things we do (I'm sure you've all seen the exposés), we'd have m ore than enough room to subsidize things like medicare, medicaid, children's insurance, education (Which I have hope for in Utah what with our blasting down Referendum 1), etc.

I never said that democrats and liberals were the same. Just that republicans and liberals were different.

Where does that state that I support an increase in taxes? Taxes, in their concept, are a great idea, it's just the way that we waste them that's a problem. I believe in socialization (to an extent) and definitely in subsidizing, but not wasting.
