Old Style -> New Style

Right, Soul gave me admin access a while back so I want to know what people are thinking about doing with the forum. Which aspects of the old forum (theme, ranks, rank pics, rules, etc.) do you guys like and dislike, and what do you guys want to be added to it?

I know it's kind of a given that you would put something in the "site ideas" area if you had any, but I figured I'd call you guys out on this one. Maybe you've got some ideas that'll come to you when you actually think about it.

So, here's some of my own input (self-critiquing mostly): I liked the ranks and the rank pics of the old forums, but I think the portal I made needed some work. I made that portal in about 5 mins (literally, this forum generator is easy as pie) so if I dedicated any time to it I'm sure I could do something real with it. They give you a lot of room with independent HTML coding that you can do yourself, so out-of-the-box ideas aren't out of the question.

We definitely need to implement a map upload section (we need to double-check the amount of memory we can take up on their servers) and get a theme for us to unite behind. Because as bad as the TDoM site may have been, this one can't be any better without something running us. We need to make StealthForums mean something.

So, any ideas you guys have just shout them out here. I'm off to bed.

I could create a shortcut to it in the menu-bar very easily if you could find an upload system.

dude.. i noticed.. most of demo's paragraphs are so freaken long and im 2 lazy to read.. any i read the first couple sentances and yea.. i think the forums are the same

I think that the forum logo could be shurnk and/or remade, I think it's too big. Also, this is the same theme as the other site, and I would like to see something different, maybe something to go with the logo? I also agree that the rank system thingy-ma-bob was a nice addon to the site.

As for "out-of-the-box" ideas ... I'm drawing a blank D=>.

You guys are no fun.

Yes, we need a logo that's more horizontal than vertical (not saying I don't like the pic, it's just too...up/down).

I haven't done much research on the custom html input for this site, but I'll have to do it later (or, knowing me, just say I will and actually just go play an MMO or something).

We need some really new ideas though. Nitro, I'm counting on you to make this happen.

Oh, and as for a new theme...go to hell.

If I see a new phBB 3.0 theme I would have to upgrade if it looked cool enough. (This would give us much more possibilities to do things for the site like custom HTML)

Just give him administrator priveleges. On Second thought, he might translate everyone's post in to German and I don't feel like getting a translator, so don't.
